Eat Clean Nuts and Seeds Granola

I was never really that fond of granola…not that I didn’t like it, I just never ate it. Until I started making my own eat clean version! Now I make a batch about once every two weeks. I’ve discovered the most amazing ways to eat it!

Option 1:

  • Make a protein shake (I use unsweetened almond milk and BioX Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl whey protein)
  • Put 1/4 cup of granola in a bowl
  • Pour the protein shake over the granola (don’t drown it… you can drink the leftovers)
  • MMMmmmm Enjoy the yummy goodness!

Option 2:

  • Put 1/4 cup granola in a bowl
  • Add 1/3 cup greek yogurt (PC brand is the best)
  • Add 1 Tbsp natural peanut butter (or other nut butter) {optional, but if you skip this you’re missing out}
  • Add 1/4 cup frozen berries {optional}
  • Mix together
  • Enjoy!!! Delicious!

Ingredients:

DRY

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/3 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 cup whole almonds and/or pecans, walnuts, etc
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/3 cup raisins (add after baking)

WET

  • 1 Tbsp grape seed oil
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp honey

Instructions:

  1. Mix dry and wet ingredients separately.
  2. Pour wet mixture over dry and combine.
  3. Spread mixture on baking sheet (lightly season with oil/butter if not using silicone).
  4. Bake at 300 for 15 minutes, remove and stir, bake another 15 minutes or until oats are golden.
